David Beckham was in Madrid on Friday and there was, of course, only one thing that people wanted to ask him about—his former club Real Madrid and how they will get on in Sunday's monster clash with Barcelona.
Despite his old club being away from home for the top-of-the-table clash, Beckham said he was going with Real to take the three points.
Beckham predicted a 2-1 Real Madrid victory, despite admitting he had "so much respect for Barcelona."
He also defended Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti who has comeunder fire in recent weeks.
Beckham worked with Ancelotti at both AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain and said, per AS:
I love Carlo, he’s one of the best people I’ve ever spent time with, one of the best managers I’ve ever been managed by. He’s a manager who has humility, he has so much passion for the game, he’s a winner, he’s always been successful wherever he has gone and for me, he’s not just one of the nicest people in the world but also one of the best managers I have ever played under
